We have all seen the TV shows glamorizing the paranormal… and for the most part, they are wonderful as they bring this way of life from the back door to the main stream. For that, I am so very grateful! However, I do have a bit of an issue with some of these shows…

Because these shows are so main stream now, people assume that my life is similar to those on TV. My answer is NO. Why? Because it would make me insane!!! I would never allow anyone, alive or dead to intrude on my private time. Could you imagine not having any control over the voices in your head? It would feel like Whoopi Goldburg in Ghost. No one wants to feel that way. And I certainly do not want to be waken from a sound sleep with a ghost or spirit (yes there is a HUGE difference that I will explain in another blog post) desperately trying to get my attention. If that was really the case, I would not do this work!  (or more realistically, I would be in a rubber room wrapped in a “hug myself” jacket).

My everyday life is just like everyone else’s… I am a mother, cook, housekeeper, friend, writer, student, wine lover, artist, light worker and grocery shopper.. All very average and mainstream. I have to go to school events and wash my own car just like everyone else! I do not go to the supermarket with my crystal ball and turban… I reserve those items for Halloween! LOL. However, I do have a crystal ball (see picture above)… No self respecting medium would be without one! Oh yeah, did I mention that I am a bit of a smart ass? But those are things that I do and some of my personality traits… Just like everyone else, when I am working, I am the ultimate professional…

There are very strict ethics involved in this work… And believe me, this is serious work! This is work that provides comfort and peace to a person that is dealing with the passing of a loved one… This is work that leads someone that is lost into God’s divine light. And I, work on the front lines with normal, everyday people showing them that God lives inside of us, that there is no need to look to any outside source. I never for one single second forget that this has absolutely nothing to do with me and everything to do with being a witness for something greater than myself! This work is SACRED and should always be treated with the highest regard! As a medium, I work in God’s Service for other people.

That being said, I feel that it is unethical to walk up to someone on the street and just give them a reading. While most of you think, “I would love if that happened to me!” it is an invasion of your privacy. Honestly, I feel like its kinda creepy… I would not want to be sideswiped that way so I would never do that to someone else. However, it is wonderful for ratings… and at the same time, it is a wonderful way for people to see that there is really nothing scary in what we do.

Which leads to the great debate… Is it worth it to get the word out? My answer is an emphatic YES!! Yes I want people to know the peace and love from the other side… Yes, I want people to understand that the dead people I talk to IS THE HOLY SPIRIT! Yes, you are saved, even if some of your actions were not always perfect… Yes, God Loves you!!!

So I ask you… How will you work in service to someone else today?

Good Morning… I trust that everyone is doing well this rainy day in the south! I have been sick and so I had to put the tarot readings on the back burner but I am ready to begin again! So here we go!

Ironically, I was only going to pull 1 card this morning but it appears that Spirit had something else in mind… LOL. These 2 cards popped out together!

tarot reading 2.19

1st card is the 5 of pentacles: The message here is keep walking forward, it doesn’t matter where you have been, it matters where you are going. Yes you suffered in the past, but what lessons have you learned? How have they made you better? Because this card is paired with the 2 of cups it is not as bad as it appears. The 2 of cups indicates a successful union, a time of celebration! Rejoice that all of your hard work has paid off! Now is the time to balance all that you have learned and pair it with all that you want in your future. Sometimes we have to walk through the dark to get to the light! And sometimes losing everything give you a new appreciation of the abundance in your life.

While the 5 of Pentacles is about unbalance, the 2 of Cups is about harmony and balance! Know that all is as it should be!

If you are going through financial, emotional or spiritual loss, please know that very soon there will be a reason to celebrate! Allow others to help you and remember that your story can help someone else!

Love to all and I hope this message has served you in some way!

Diana

What do you think of when you see this sign? Do you react differently, more respectfully? I know that I do… I want to protect the valuable contents that is wrapped in the package….When most people see the warning “Fragile”, they take extra precautions, knowing or at the very least hoping, that a true prize is hidden behind this sticker…  What we often forget is that our body is our packaging and that inside we are a priceless, fragile, breakable and EXTREMELY valuable! Not just some of us…. ALL OF US! We are all dealing with our own internal issues and at the same time dealing with every day life. Life can be traumatizing and painful but at the same time full of valuable lessons about our self and others…  The trauma can make us forget how precious truly living life can be!

Last week I was chatting with a new acquaintance about people being pushed to their limits  and how freeing it could be when someone just lets go and accepts more than they thought they were capable of accepting. This statement sent an ice cold rod of fear straight down the center of my very being.  It forced me to look at my inner self and I did not like what I saw! I was not pushing myself to any limits… I was guarding and protecting myself for fear that if anything in my world changed a hair that the priceless and extremely valuable glass vase inside myself, that is already cracked and traumatized  would completely shatter and I would be left on the floor in absolute pieces again…

Just like everyone else, I have been a package that was kicked around. Someone had shaken and cracked the precious cargo within never understanding how priceless the contents inside were. Never understanding the damage they were creating…. Leaving me to pick up the pieces and put myself back together. However, I have forgotten a very important element until that conversation… and that is gluing the cracks and sanding down the rough edges, filling in the remaining fractures with love, peace and happiness and making my vase solid again… Allowing my vase to hold love again… Knowing that the fractures and the cracks are the limits that I have already pushed myself to and in that statement is pure FREEDOM! My friend was correct…. there is Freedom in pushing yourself to the limits even when you are not sure what those limits are! There are priceless lessons in knowing your own worth and this conversation reminded me of mine!

It would be so easy if we all had this Fragile sticker posted above our heart as a reminder that at the center of our authentic self we just want someone to look at us and realize exactly how priceless, valuable and fragile we truly are and handle us with love and care.

People Stop this madness!!! What is wrong with you all…. I am pissed and I have a very good reason! My facebook page is swamped with “news” about the lady that supposedly allowed her child to go to a tanning bed.

Here is the latest post about her:  http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/03/tanning-mom-patricia-krentcil-video/?adid=hero1

This morning on the Bob and Sheri fan page that ask for opinions about this and I was completely disgusted how the people were judging someone that 1st of all they don’t know and 2nd of all someone that has not been proven to do anything wrong.

Since those posters on FB made their opinions known to thousands of people, I feel the need to include some of them here, obviously omitting their names but if you are interested in their names, I will also make a link so you can see them for yourself!

I have copied the entire comments list and deleted all of the names but here is the link if you want to see it for yourself: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bob-Sheri/10646502195

  • Wow…not only is she baking herself to death in a tanning bed, endangering her daughter, but she is CLEARLY drunk or on something!

She seemed drunk to me. She slurred her words.
  •  Like ‎”Tanning Mom” looks ridiculous! Whether she actually let the kid tan or not, she is an unhealthy example for her children.
  •  She looks like a witch…
  •  She looks horrid! How can she think she is attractive?

  • She’s a ROASTED NUT!!!!
  •  She looks like a leather belt. Thank God she’s not from Florida..LOL
  •  Amen Sara! That’s what I’ve been saying. There’s clearly an issue here if she can’t make proper judgement for herself let aline her child. The woman needs mental help & I’m not saying that to be mean.
  •  She appears to be drunk or strung out on drugs to make it even worse!
  • She looks like a blonde Al Jolson.
  •  No she is part of a pack of sausage links… And now her brain is fried…sad that she can’t see the danger.. And what a sad example of being an addict (being whatever it is) that she is showing her daughter.
  •  And her husband supportss this habit! She seriously needs help….and to clean her mirros
  •  she is fugly ugly this woman needs a life, job, common sense something ugh I can’t look at her….my eyes my eyes
  •  Bless her heart….she looks well done! I think it is time to rethink the tanning bed…it appears she has cooked her brain as well by her slurred speech and leaning stance!
  •  Some people shouldn’t procreate.
  •  what a moron
  •  No sweetie you’re the victim of self abuse. My guess is you have unresolved childhood issues<<<my nice version…that being said….you look like a walking jar of NUTella…gross gross gross.
  • Fried and ReFried….please step out of the oven ..you are Done!
  •  also….what is up with the black line on the bottom lip???
  •  Molly…its probably her lip starting to rot off…cooked meat eventually rots.
  •  Ian surprised she is still alive!
  •  You just can’t fix stupid.
  •  I’m jealous…i can never get the Thanksgiving turkey to be so browned. Wonder how she marinades herself?!
  •  Shed not drunk …the tanning bed fried her brain!
  •  She is addicted to tanning, she really needs counseling. But her looks aren’t what’s important, it rather or not she endangered her child, but from videos on the news the child seems fine. Since this hit the big time news maybe people need to take a closer look at toddlers and tiaras I’m pretty sure those parents do a lot worse to their kids. Just sayin
  •  this woman needs major help
  • Diana Joy These comments are incredible. None of you know this woman and neither do I. But you would probably have a few drinks too if you were living in your own world, minding your own business and something very innocent like a childs sunburn got you arrested and thrown into the media spot light for the world to judge you based on your right to go to a tanning bed. The fact is that it has not been proven that this child was in a tanning bed and if it were proven then the tanning bed owner should be arrested too! My child has had a sunburn and I have not been arrested for it! Who cares if this woman wants to be this dark… It is really no one’s business. It is sad that people have said horrible things about her. Does it make you feel better about yourself? I certainly hope so!

  • Diana Joy Allowing this attack on this woman only opens the door of acceptance for it to happen to any one of you. Think before you speak
I have left my profile pic so that you can see my comments…
THIS IS BULLYING!!! Everyone jumps on the “Bully Banwagon” and wants to stand up and say, “I WOULD NEVER BULLY ANYONE” You people should be ashamed of your selves! What if this happened to you? What has happened to love and compassion and hearing the full story before you judge someone else? I am so angry that I could spit nails right now… How in the hell did this ever become news worthy? More importantly, this is opening a door for us all to be persecuted in the media with no proof! All we really know is that her child got a sunburn and told her teacher her version of events… I know my child has had a sunburn. Does that make me a bad mother? Even if you judge me as a bad parent, does that mean that I should be arrested for my son having a sun burn? I also know that my child has given the events as he remembers but when you add the adult version of events, the entire story looks different!
If you don’t know the whole story, then DO NOT judge! The people that made these post should be very ashamed! And I hope they are!

What has happened to the truth? I have looked everywhere for it and it appears to have disappeared. Maybe it has run away to some tropical island with Common Sense and Respect? I can not foresee their return! How unfortunate for us!

It seems in this digital world it is far too easy to hide behind your computer or phone or whatever device has your attention at the moment. It appears to me that people sit behind their computer, don’t like what they really see in themselves and decide to change it, but only in the digital world. It is much easier to pretend that you are a genuine, nice person in type and text because really, who knows the real truth? Until you have to TELL the real truth that is! Or worse yet… Show the truth!

And the rules have totally changed too! When you are speaking to someone either in person or on the phone, it is polite, common and expected that when you leave or hang up a farewell greeting is given. It is considered rude if the greeting is not given.. We have all had someone hang up the phone on us… and it was usually because they were angry at us, right?  So what does it mean when the person you’re communicating with  via email, text, or social media  does not reply? It seems common place now to just stop replying leaving the other person wondering if they have said something that offended or if the non replying party is simply busy. Basically they are wondering why the obligatory farewell greeting is not given. It feels like the equivalent of someone hanging the phone up on them.

People this is just rude!! Use your manners!! PLEASE! Unless of course you were never taught manners… in that case… carry on, some where far far away from me!
